Confusing isn’t it. I found this on the net which is different again. Think I will give them the lowest figures I can find

Thanks for taking the time to go through your paperwork japi. I Dre a blank looking through mine also. I am taking the car to an expert next week who thinks he can produce the required paperwork from the car serial numbers. I will let you know how I get on.

Thanks for the web link Kevlar. I will have a read

Thanks both

Thanks for the advice.

I think you are correct but the Spanish government likes to take as much tax as they can.

It should be completely free from import tax as the car is my personal possession which I’m moving to Spain at the same time I apply for tax residency. However I have just been informed that proving this is the problem. There is no recognised paperwork in this area, so they tend to tax you anyway

No idea what it’s worth these days.

The roof has started to go above the pockets and there is a patch of rust bubbling on the wheel arch. So would need to factor that in.

Probably just put it on Ebay and ask for offers.

I’m being told it is a certificate which confirms the vehicle technical data like emissions etc. Apparently  Mazda can provide it for a few hundred Euros.

The Spanish government use this information to decide the import tax. I got a feeling I will be in the top tax bracket

I’m tempted to take the car back to the uk and sell her there.

Hi folks

Just starting the import process and I have been asked for an EU conformity certificate!

Anyone have one for t2 vert? Not sure if they are generic or car specific

Thanks Chris

Thanks Clive,

I would say it’s to escape the winter roads with all that salt. But no idea about Sweden, guess you couldn’t get on the roads for snow

By the way, I disembarked the ferry in Bilbao yesterday afternoon, then drove the old girl non stop, apart from 2 petrol stops, down to Valencia. 435 mile run. Add this to Tuesdays 320 mile run down to Portsmouth. I have had a great 750 mile road trip.

Real shame I got up to the rain this morning, so the roof has to stay up until tomorrow

Thanks for all your help guys,

I managed to fit the deflectors correctly in the end. The bottom right hand corner of the reflector needed to be covered to prevent dazzling on coming traffic. I will take a photo when I remember, just in case anyone else should ask the question

Has anyone ever fitted Halfords beam deflectors to an FC?

I’m sat in Portsmouth waiting for the boat with a set but no idea where to position them on the head lamps. Older cars aren’t covered

Any guidance would be great
Thanks Chris

Thanks again guys

I have found a company on the Costa Blanca who can supply and install a European set. So will go with them once the car is in Spain

Cheers Chris

Thanks both for your advice. I’m back in the U.K. next week so will have a closer look at what’s fitted. Guess I will have to buy new lamps when I get her over to Spain

Thanks again

Chris

I will certainly take a look! I’m sure they’re American lamps so probably are meant for a LHD car anyway

Thanks
