Lol its dangerous playing with Clive! I find i tend to overdrive the fd when hes behind.

Definitely a few mistakes from me, over shooting under braking compromising me - not hitting apexes here and there. But I was happy with that being my first time there.

Videos are great to learn from.

That’s pretty much what I was doing when you were following me , many mistakes  under pressure .......
As Jon said , you peddle very well for your first time there . I’d be keen to know what other secrets your car has up it’s sleeves seen as I’ve been told off for spoiling a thread on RX8 OC lol

Hey Wayne,

Sorry - just saw this thread.

Hehe. Such great fun isn’t it. You know how to peddle also!!

So it is a 192 bridge from LC Rotary
Stock ECU - but a map from Lewis I think
Pilot sports (I think are amazing in wet and dry)
Racing brake discs (new front and rear for Combe), hawk pads
Updated radiator
HSD Coilovers (not sure of spring rate etc)
RB front and rear rollbars
Albins 5 speed (which as mentioned I had lined up for my FD) initially I wasn’t sure about the box / gearing as it does feel lazy sometimes compared to the 6 speed. But around Castle Combe (first time on track with that box) it felt really good.
Custom cages cage done by Craig at TGS
Sparco Seats / harnesses
Custom exhaust - high flow cat

I think that’s the main stuff?

Some more vids of my recent track days here (for interest)...

suffice to say after watching your vids Glenn you can certainly peddle !!! :13:

seeing all these vids on here, rx8oc blimin frustrating i wasn't out there with you guys!! :violent1:

Thankyou!!! hoping to do more track days this year. I must admit I’m a bit in love with the RX-8 and how good it is to drive.

See the moment when I was in front of Clive - took a bit much kerb through the chicane, might have been a little bit of airtime for lefthand wheels. Hehe.

Nice bit of driving !  :great:

I think even Clive was admiring the lines for half a lap before he pressed harder on the loud pedal !

Hehe. Thanks mate. I wish I had his power!! Would be a different beast to drive though.

Rotary and General Chit-Chat / Calling web designers?
« on: March 22, 2009, 06:54:05 PM »
Hi all,

How\'s it going? Hope all is well in the rotary world!

I\'m looking to build a basic website for a friend of mine, and I\'m thinking about a Joomla site or a good CMS site.

Anyone got any tips?

Have you used Joomla? any good? secure? anything better out there?  Needs to be easy to use for a novice to update etc.

Many thanks!

Ian!!!!!!!!!! How\'s it going?

Sorry I haven\'t been in touch for a while.  Work / Sleep / Work / Sleep :(

How\'s all your DJing going now?

I just wanted to make sure you knew!!!! I still listen to your mixes almost every day on the way to and back from work.  My work now even lets me listen to music during the day - so I\'m often in a \'trance\' and pumping out work (boring documents etc.!).

Anyways mate - I\'ve got quite a few of your sessions downloaded onto my iPod - always looking for more.  Some of the links you have don\'t appear to work now?

Can I host for you???

Cheers - hope all is well.

Rotary and General Chit-Chat / Best PS3 Force Feedback steering wheel?
« on: November 09, 2008, 09:24:38 PM »
Hey all,

For interest - got the Logitech G25 yesterday.  It is awesome!  Prior to this, I have been playing GT5 for some weeks now - managed to get all the way to the Ferrari with the normal controller!  would have been much faster/better with the wheel.

GT5 I find is very realistic.

I found GRID is much better with the wheel (rubbish with the controller) - but it is very frustrating at the same time. :(  Just not as good as GT5.

Ben / Phil - thanks very much for the information guys.

14
Hi Tony/Paul!

How are you guys??? :)

Info here on their site: http://www.dynolicious.com/  - you should be able to search for it on the iPhone Apps. itself.

I dont know if it will work with the PS3 but the logitech G25 is the best wheel money can buy at the moment. Give it a google and see if it will work

Thanks Ben - just found some video\'s on YouTube - looks like a pretty good wheel set-up!

Can anyone confirm if this is the wheel to get for the PS3?
