Imagine doing the drive home,

roof down...........beard blowing over my shoulders lol

Does it come with a banarama CD?

It came with some music cd init...sounded like foxes mating and then a flute started playing so that went in the wheelie bin with all the other girly stuff init. Salvage cars are great they come filled up with previous owners junk...often find a little trinket or 2....or nice clean freshly pressed clothes in a bin bag in the boot that all fit and im wearing the jumper now lol...

Based on any mk1 mk2 or mk2.5?
Aircon...if its getting a rotary heart why does original need to have aircon?
The Arizona 1800 has ac as standard..4.1 super fuji diff.
If you wanna ring me i can discuss the mks in better detail...
Mk2 and mk2.5 suffer rust in front chassis legs due to additional crash protection..
If doing a conversion without engine swap then an svt would be my choice if staying na.
Rotary engined i dont think it matters other than a rust free donor.

Currently its for the MK1. However he's working on tweaking the moulds for the MK2/2.5 as the MK1s are getting thinner on the ground now and starting to become collectable.
Enginewise, I'm thinking ported 231 as the engines are a little easier to come by.

Mk2s talk to me... one on autotrader with knackered engine for £350.  Nice and cheap for an engine transplant

Hello Grant...long time mate!
Rust...number 1
Cills and front chasis legs on mk2s...hand down by antirollbar in engine and feel...
If you get 1 pump loads of rust prevention inthere through the various holes.
Youll wanna lsd...so try to find an 1800 sport to  be sure...though units good for 400 bhp app.
Get 1 with a good hood or remove and fit a hardtop for coupe looks.
There pretty bullet proof . Its just RUST to watch out for....regular unblocking of cill drains and hood drains. Blating down a b road at 60 is so much legal fun.

Where would be the best place to look for a car with no engine?

There’s a guy around the corner from me with a mk1 sat on his drive behind two other cars he’s parting out by the looks of it. Keep wanting to go around and asking him what he’s doing with it and see if it’s a rust bucket.

A mk3 would be best but I think a mk2 would be mint especially when I see them for £1000 cheaper.

Just signed up don’t know which me would be best to get. Mk1 lightest of them all, mk2 nice and cheap, mk3 newest less rust and probably the best chassis as it’s newest

Mk1 dont suffer the rust in front chassis legs..mk3 prob easiest todo but due to age and mot standards prob need a cat fitting etc. Mk3s rust like rx8s but yes newer and bit more room to work.....
There are rust free cars out there just gotta find em...

Putting a cat on wouldn’t be a problem. Most likely be useful in burning up excess fuel.

Found a couple on autotrader but they’re miles away mk2 - £350
Mk3 - 1400. Has a strange engine sound aparently so I would guess that big end bearings
