Afternoon peeps :)
Ive been thinking a lot about this recently and still not sure what to do …
Ive got 2 FC3S Drop tops ( as you are all well aware :D )
Ive got a 1989 UK white one that's running ( taxed , mot'd and insured ) and a 1991 JDM shade green that's just sat looking really sorry for itself with a shot auto box and maybe other issues
The white one just isn't getting used and its a shame to see them going to waste
The market is so up and down and the moment I have no idea what they are worth
There is a 1987 EGI on facebook at the moment for 5k !!!!!!!!!!!
So … based on that I have 2 of them .. if I was to sell them as a package for around 3k - 4k .. is this pie in the sky price or is that about right
I would throw in EVERY part I have ( arc TMIC , gp sports front bumper , loads of wheels and tires … every box of spares that I have )
the JDM fired up FIRST time yesterday after being stood for a few years and settled in a lovely idle - and looks very very solid underneath
The white one .. well it runs and got thru a MOT , but needs some tidying
Like I said .. I don't know the value .. are they actually changing hands these days or are people putting them for sale and they don't actually sell
Happy to listed to all comments :D
Pics are on my website : www.fc3s.co.uk
Cheers

Hi Stu
The last recorded TII vert sale on ebay was a 130K example (but with engine rebuild 12K ago) which shows as selling for £2,272. That was in May. I have seen others with higher asking prices but it doesn't look they sold. I remember watching a FC vert last year, which eventually sold for £3,250 - so £1,000 more than the example above.
I am told that prices are going up but I don't think there's enough activity on FC sales to say. What I do see is expectation amongst sellers that prices are increasing, but those more expensive examples that have been listed on ebay (and elsewhere) don't appear to have sold in many cases. However it does seem that FB and FD prices are on the up, so it's logical the FC should follow.
Personally I would sell the cars separately rather than as a package. I would assume that most people who are in the market would want to buy one car rather than two (even if one is a spares car, they may not have space for it). I would also think you would get a better overall price.
Anyway just my thoughts. Good luck with whatever you decide.
Cheers

thanks for the comment mate .. I was even considering breaking them at one point .. not sure if they are worth more in bits ?

I hate to say it but they could well be. But it's the hassle of doing it and accepting that it could take a long time to sell enough parts to match a reasonable selling price for the entire car - if you see what I mean. Besides it would be a shame to break the cars when at least one of them seems to be in good order.

If you have a nice aftermarket exhaust in the spares stash drop me a line
-
I have spare aftermarket exits , but then didn't seem to line up correctly with my Y pipe .. thing is .. they came off a FC ?!?!??!
-
in my head I was picturing around £600-700 worth of parts and then say 2.5k for both cars
if someone had the skill to put the manual box in the auto car - they would have a very solid lowish milage late year cab
I was trying to think what spares I had around the garage …
3 set of wheels and tyres - original BBS with centre caps , some random jap ones , US GLS alloys
metal rad panel
drift mirrors
US areo mirror
ARC copy TMIC
greedy elbow
2 * tannue convers
GP sports front bumper
after market tail pipes ( odd fit no idea why )
partial set of poly bushes
dual alt pulley
SAFC II Limited edition
lower strut brace
spare relays , ht leads , cats , air box lids
vented headlight cover
blanking plates for air pump removal
and what ever else is kicking around ! LOL :D

Aye up Stu. Have you still got my number? Give me a shout if you have. I may know someone who could be interested in you auto one (I still love the colour of it too).

The elbow is needed for the TMIC ;)

I`m afraid not. Well, at this point anyways... :))
Oh, is it? Then I dont need it. Thanks :)

the elbow is for either a FMIC or after market TMIC
I should have added that you need the elbow for the aftermarket TMIC that I have
Sorry to confuse the issue
