Ah I see. Will let you know about them. I\'m having to take mine off this week so if I damage one then I will replace it with one off my other car. If not then They are for sale.

Don\'t damage them then! According to James this is 100% stock.. if this is the case then i\'m in heaven.. might be because its white it looks like it sticks out so much but ive never noticed how nice they are until i seen this pic.

are the skirts going on an EGI ??

is so you will need the front panel aswell that sits on the front wheel arches

the actual skirts come off no probs - its the front bits that are a pain

and not the easiest thing to re-attach ( i used silcon to put mine back on )

Thanks for the heads up Stu. You wanna give me a hand since you know what your doing!

Post by: grinder on December 12, 2008, 01:13:50 PM
errr no - its a right pain

1 - loosen the front bit on the wing first
2 - remove the inner plastic cill guard ( 5 screws i think )
3 - look underneath and there are 3-4 bolt heads
3a - there might be one by the back wheel aswell ??? - yes there is
4 - remove these
5 - slowly pry the skirt away from the car
6 - mine was glued on aswell - so have a knife handy
7 - keep prying and cutting the glue until its loose
8 - you should beable to get the skirt off and leave the bit on the wing where it is - but you have to bend the skirt a bit

its not a bad job to be honest :D

you can see better on this pic : http://www.fc3s.co.uk/Rusty%20Rex/images/Big/Dsc03118.JPG

and this is what mine ended up looking like - its not pretty : http://www.fc3s.co.uk/Rusty%20Rex/images/Big/Dsc03119.JPG

Well I finish for Christmas next Friday so after then when I\'m off. My car is booked in for some welding :( on the 22nd hence having to take mine off. So once that is done I\'ll sort it out. Need to start stripping everything off the car really as it has to go soon. So watch out for posts of bits coming up for sale. What ever doesn\'t get bought will be scrapped unfortunately.

whats that - the spare red one ??

i would love loads of silly bits off it - more of the underneath stuff - so that i could get them sprayed and the poly bushed fitted - then just a simple case of swapping the parts out - thing is - i prob would never get the time to do it :(

if you are stuggling with space mate - box up what you can and you can store it in my garage if you want - i have some spare space if needed :D

but personally i would pretty much try and strip it back to a shell :D

if you need a hand one day and i have time - give me a shout and i will bob up and help you strip it ( i dont think your that far from me ?? )

Much appreciated Stu that would be a big help. The car is up at my Nan\'s house and she\'s not so good at the min (in hospital :() And If she doesn\'t pull though her house will be sold asap. Meaning I have to get rid of the car the engine and my motor bike out of the garage.
