Umm, does he have fuelcell or stock tank? And how big is stock fuel tank anyways?

Quick update,

Yes the diff was broken and I actually stripped a donated diff and found that was broke as well.

The way it was broken you will see below I can only presume kept the diff locked at times  ::)

Always wondered how Mazda's RX-8 "Super Diff " worked and now I know, I also know that the tags locate the outer part onto the cone and all the tags had broken off the one that came out the race car  :( so there was obviously no real control of when the diff was locked and unlocked as it was all spinning together.

So we now have a nice new 1.5 LSD Diff unit that I have stripped and reset so it is not locked too tight when the car is off power.

Off to TDI on Thursday for a rear geometry change to help the car in slow speed corners and also going to fit a set of Hawk HT10 front pads as I am sure these will give me the pedal feel I am looking for, also its a much more high temperature pad and more durable.

Going to take the car to Castle Coombe for the JDM event as hopefully this will show the changes have worked even though I wont be able to run at true race speeds on a trackday

Excellent day at JDM Coombe after finding the root cause of all of my snap oversteer issues!

After pulling the suspension about, I noticed that the OS rear wheel was sticking out at an angle by around 4"   ???

God knows how I have even been able to drive the thing as the toe rod was moving too and fro, which explained my issues .

There are tags that stick out on the subframe to keep the adjustable camber/ caster/ toe plates in check, turns out that when I had a Civic hit me in the side at Silverstone he must have hit the wheel as the tags were knocked flat allowing the wheel to literally waggle around, no wonder I couldn't control the thing at times!

Change of pads to Hawk HT10 plus a new Extreme Brake fluid, as supplied to F2 cars and Historic F1 cars, plus the new Kazz diff, plus  TDI introducing a little more camber and toe in at the rear has really sorted the back end and the car out and it is soooooo much more stable.

Brakes now have super progressive brake feel and stop the best the car has ever stopped  :great: Only down side to the day was that the back wing literally collapsed after going faster that the car has ever gone before during the second session where I started "trying" on a clear track!

Talking to Carl Hayward after he believes  that by using 8800 going into quarry, this probably means 150MPH so no wonder the wing collapsed.

Now I have a controllable car, I am really looking forward to Rockingham in a few weeks time  ;).

Sorry everyone the front camera didn't record due to some settings which I need to reset :(

Here is the footage from the Rear Camera (John I think you sabotaged the front camera so that you were in shot the whole time lol)

Thanks as always to Philip  :great:

You know, everything is easy  after the event , attached is a picture of the car at Brands last October.

You can see the front edge of the rear wheel arch is pushed in from the Civic attack at Silverstone

When the car was static, the front edge of the wheel was sticking right out from the front of the arch, in this picture I have just found you can see the front edge of the wheel has gone into the arch-------------steering the car from the back !!

John I'm afraid you are not off the hook. I had another look through the 6000 odd files and 10 folders of jpg photos which Clives front camera had recorded and to my surprise I found the second session video footage. The first session was definitely a goner but here is Session 2 front facing :)

When i had another look at my go pro my first video turned up, ive since reformatted the SD card as recommended by Go pro suite.
Yep i watched it...well...that incident at Camp was bigger than felt in car lol..well just goes to show that Clive has a rapid well handling car now, i was nailing mine and overdriving it somewhat to stay with Clive and when it front when let past again all too much right foot...and from Clive footage you can see he was not trying  to too hard too stay with me...my tyres are squealing every corner...i will say this i think r888 i had on last year are better than the r888r and a048s i have on at present...though and i had a passenger with a heart condition and a bad knee and it was saturday lol

Seems like nose is hopping abit in corners? And understeers abit?
I wonder what kind of lateral G forces your car can do...?

Also, seems like Jon ye olde engine has some grunt left in it.  :great: But this footage shows that maybe suspension is abit soft for track, car leans quite lot...?

anyhoo, nice to compare your cars going around each other...  :sign0098:

Jarno,I stiffened up for that session too and increased tyre pressure, and if id made it out for sess 3 and 4 i would've gone stiffer again. something has changed (tyres) since last year and defo felt looser and struggling to hit the apexes my vids show excessive tyre squeal. I've got mismatched tyres on R888r upfront and a048s rear which are both awesome tyres...maybe shouldnt have done it but tyres aint cheap and thats what i got atmo, a048s nearly done will put on rear r888r so matched after next trackday.
but it was fun :13:
