Looks like you'll be spending a lot more time in the garage fixing/modding than driving  Hmmm, that sounds familiar, my "on the road" 1st Gen is currently in my garage needing a new oil cooler and I've then found lots of other stuff I should do to the car whilst the cooler is out and I have access to under the front

Oil cooler dropped off at Colchester Radiator Specialists this afternoon for a rebuild. Should take about a week. Thanks for the reminder Andrew Got carried away at spotting nasty rusty fasteners under the front of the car, so removed some of the plastic bits to clean them up and replace the fasteners. I then saw some rust on the chassis rails that [...]

ECU was locked out so it had to be overwritten, so no idea what they were set at.I always try and watch the volt meter any way plus it ticks over at just over 2000 revs which has kept the engine running whils [...]

Ah, so with relay 1 operating, both fans are in placed series, so the voltage drop will be 6v across each (if they have identical resistance), so both will run at low speed. When relays 2 and 3 kick in, both fans see 12v. Nice relay switching arrangement that I'd not quite got my head around before - now I understand!

Nice little write-up by Mazda UK to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the RX-7, The FC owner is Pete (RE5 on the MRC). Not sure if Kerr is on here, but I know him through the RX-8 OC  https://www.insidemazda.co.uk/2018/06/15/rx-7-at-40-owner-stories/

Thanks Clive, Rad fan back, do like looking at ally welds looks very nice. So idea was to use rx8 rad pack with the R3 koyo rad but ive custom V mounted and was using a hi power slimine Spal fan before...(thats now living at Combe)  But as ive flipped rad so coolant pipes are on top i cant use existing mountings as fans will blow wrong way, [...]

just for knowledge what were the temps originally set in PCM?..oem is high 102 and 115deg C? so both temps set at 80degC your going into High speed both fans on so a 19A draw just need to be aware of that when idling in the pits/ holding area with your alternator.next time Lewis back get him to put a 1100rpm idle target in?

ok mate, well at Brands, test then, jumper relay 1 with ign on, not running engine, like you said paper trick, under car, if both fans running good and both pulling through rad, if there both pulling through low speed then they will both pull through high speed. if 1 is blowing then i have made a polarity mistake in loom and the simplest way to rec [...]
