Hello from RX-8 Time Attack driver
« on: January 09, 2018, 07:13:12 PM »
Hi,

Some of you will know me from the RX8OC. I thought it was time I popped my head around the door of the MRC and said hello.

For those that don't know. I have been driving my RX-8 in the UK version of the Time Attack Championship for the past two seasons. I came second in the Clubman class in 2016, and won it in 2017.

I am not entering in 2018 because I want to concentrate on preparing the car for the 2019 season. My plan is to do something a little different, and hopefully rather exciting.

If I can post pictures then they should appear.....

Cheers,
Peter

Well I couldn't scare you with a twin rotor, so it had to be a triple!  >:D

Over the past couple of years It's had this done to it:
Tein coil overs with custom springs
RB rear anti roll bar
Superpro front bushes
Japspeed spherical joint rear arms
Grooved discs with Yellow stuff pads and braided lines and Motul 600 fluid
Team Dynamics 9x18 wheels
Pirelli Trofeo R 245/40 tyres
RB Revi intake and scoop
Air pump delete
Custom long tube headers 3" single exit exhaust with 100CPSI race cat
Considerably stripped interior with Cobra race seats and Sparco 4 point harnesses.
Sound deadening stripped out
Carbon mirrors
5.1 rear diff
Metra kit for head unit delete
2 colour custom candy paint
D585R coils
Full map

I'm sure I've forgotten stuff, but that's probably the main stuff. It did 203bhp on RR dyno, which Ben says is a record for a non-ported Renesis.
