Hi there.

I\'m new here so hello everybody! I\'m from Austria (not down under *LOL*) and driving an FC for 10 years. Now I\'m interested in importing an nice Cosmo. I definitly want to have the luxury edition with the tan leather because I dont like the black interiour. But I dont know if I should just take the E version since I\'m very sceptical about the CCS computer which I would probably would want to get rid of. But I\'m afraid that you cant just take it out like a radio and then I wont have i.e. any climate control or what ever else is controlled by it. So any advice or experiences with it?

Harry

Hi Harry

The ECCS version is known for the monitor to fail over time.  It can be fixed in some circumstances, otherwise you can remove the monitor completely to leave everything else (including the radio, aircon etc) continue working.  The main units are in the passengers armrest and behind the rear quarter panels.  I\'ve heard of people removing parts of the units out and presumerbaly still have aircon (mainly in Oz so I guess they would retain it!).  Otherthan the monitor, I haven\'t had any problems with the eccs as yet.

Your best bet is to ask on http://www.teameunos.com/forums

they know the eccs system quite well
