Here is only Rotary powered car in our National rallycross seriers. Toyota Starlet with Swedish build 12a PP. Engines displacement has been modified to smaller because of our old rules.
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Ok, there is Mazda 1500 -67 in sale near me. I have few questions if someone can answer them:

Mazda was building this car with 1500cc, 1800cc engine and with rotary(Luce). I need to know similaritys of those models? Brakes, suspension, all those and chassis components, are they compatible? Gearbox and rearend, diff? And can i swap components from other older Mazdas, like rx7 or 626?

I was thinking that i would build street sleeper, with 12A engine. But i need to upgrade lots of components, cause our laws to get it street legal.

Thanks

Last sunday i went to Ahvenisto racetrack. (i live quite near it) Big event, Historic Grand Race. Lots of awesome old cars in track and in carpark. Noticed that NSU RO80. It was amazing! Took over 1500 hours to rebuild! And craftmanship was amazing. Talked with owner/builder for some time. It has "semiautomatic" gearbox and 900cc aviation engine. :)

Last saturday was Rallycross finals in Hyvinkää, Finland. Nice event.

Winner of Supercars and winner of SRCs class championship was open. In last final they knew who is champion. Racing at its best, lots of fighting for positions. :)

Managed to "spy" that rotary Starlets engine too. :eek I just love it...
Few pictures of it...

I have some clips of that event too. Ill try to post a link...

My brother did buy another RX-7, -94 FD3S! :) Quite stock, running original turbos without seqvential and 1bar boost. Just amazing machine!

Im praying that i can test drive it asap! 8) He said (after short test) that engine and mapping seems good. Power comes in low rews, and theres lots of power. :)

But little help needed. Where can i find Apex´i +commander´s manual? He didnt get it, so is it possible to get from internet?

Another question: Car has Tein Super drift coilovers. Does anyone knows difference between them and Race spec coilovers?? I imagine that springs are different, but how about dambers?

I did find that Apexí manual. Trying to learn it. Very interesting piece of electrics... And that FD is awesome! I really dont know what power she has, but tires brakes looses traction every time you try to full accelleration... :)

Interesting next season coming in rallycross. :)

That rotary Starlet is on sale. Engine has 270hp/190nm@10800! :)

And my friend told me that few other rotarys should come too. One rotary is planted to mk2 Escort. Rumored to be a Swedish built engine, with 330hp... :)
