92/93 FD Type R import standard spec
« on: October 22, 2017, 01:13:09 PM »
I have enjoyed owning my FD for some years now but I’m at a point where I don’t have the time to focus on it properly and think that someone else should look after it. As you can see it’s generally standard spec and looks it but with some minor mods, and mileage is low. It was repaired to a high standard in 2009.
I’m looking for £8750.00
Please pm me for any more information
History and spec:
Purchased by me from Rotechniks August 2005 112173km
Previous engine rebuild by Rotechniks (David) before purchase
Standard spec 1993 RX7 FD Japanese R1 (rear seats, twin oil coolers, twin turbo)
Currently c82k Miles (c132000km), odometer switched from km 2015
Original matt finish dash, some scratching
Some paint chips, crazing and loss of paint from Mazda rubber side skirts consistent with age
Accident damaged (O/S rear wing, suspension and rear subframe / exhaust) 2009 purchased back from insurance company (Category C) repaired by Rotechniks and ID checked (VOSA) August 2009
Registered as 1.3 not 2.6 on V5
MOT until March
Serviced annually with Rotary specialists annually (Rotechniks / LC Rotary) – all records kept
No starting / running performance issues other than intermittent 3.5k hesitation
Always run on VPower!
Never run on track
Spare / tool kit all intact
Recent new battery, trickle charged
Mods:
Team Dynamics 17” alloys (never had originals)
Electrically heated front screen - added switch in redundant centre console blank to match others
Short shift mechanism / RX8 5speed knob (not on pic)
Separate oil / water SPA DG50 digital gauge fitted in lower DIN space
Professionally Waxoyled / undersealed by Rustmaster in 2006/7 (cannot remember!)
Rotechniks SS exhaust
Updated clear front indicator lenses (see front-on pic)
Front HIDs fitted
Issues:
A/C non-functional
Tacho non-functional and odometer occasionally blanks out with 3.5k rpm hesitation (?earthing issue or dash clocks)

Comes with
Later (99) spec rear lights to fit if required
Various spares incl indicator stalk assembly
GRP UK spec front numberplate plinth
Unfitted new rear window seal, wiper components
Cut and uncut Efini keys and 2 alarm fobs plus spares

  ;D ;D ;D

Would love too  :P :love4:

But I fear my better half would have something to say about it if I did. Once both KIMI's are up and running I might consider selling one and replacing with a FD, so not imminent  ;D

Maybe better to put the car on ebay and piston heads.. .problem with forums is that people on them tend to have the car already lol.
It looks a great car and should sell on 1 of those platforms.
Were abit thin on ground here at MRC too. As the cars lean out so do the members.
